Terms of Use

Effective September 25, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to makepublicsense.com. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly.

Informational purpose

PublicSense explains public decisions, records, processes, and questions as a service to the community. Information on this site is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It does not constitute legal or legislative advice and should not be construed as such. It also does not replace advice from a qualified attorney, financial professional, government agency, or other appropriate adviser.

Accuracy and corrections

We work to support factual statements with reliable sources and to distinguish established facts from claims, estimates, opinions, and unanswered questions. Even with that effort, we will get something wrong from time to time. When we do, we commit to acknowledging the error quickly and correcting the record as soon as possible.

Editorial discretion

Submitting a question does not create a right to a response, investigation, public-information request, correction, or publication. PublicSense decides what to research and publish based on public importance, available evidence, community value, fairness, and editorial capacity.

Reader submissions

You are responsible for information you submit. Do not knowingly submit false, unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or privacy-invasive material. Do not impersonate another person or use the site to interfere with its operation.

By submitting a question, you permit PublicSense to review it and to quote, summarize, edit, or publish the question for editorial purposes. We may remove identifying information. Your email address will not be published without permission.

Sources and outside websites

PublicSense links to public records and outside websites so readers can examine source material. We do not control outside content, availability, security, or privacy practices and do not guarantee that every outside link will remain active or unchanged.

Ownership and permitted use

Unless otherwise identified, original PublicSense text and design are protected by applicable law. You may link to PublicSense and quote limited portions with clear attribution. Do not republish a complete article, remove attribution, or suggest that PublicSense endorses you or your organization without permission.

No warranties

The site is provided as available. PublicSense does not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every item will be complete, current, or free from error. Use of the site and reliance on its information are at your own judgment and risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PublicSense and those working on its behalf are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the site changes. The effective date will identify the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
